NuVision Engineering  is a technology services and engineering company specializing in nuclear applications.  We provide engineering expertise and proprietary services to commercial power plants and public utilities. We also design and deploy rad-hardened robotics for use in radioactive environments and advanced process systems to manage radioactive waste.

Our customers include the U.S. and international governments, utility companies, and medical research facilities.

NuVision is headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA and has an additional facility in Mooresville, NC to support the design and implementation of large scale demonstration and validation programs.

Leadership Team

Brian Scott Beley
CEO, President

Since joining the company in 2001, Brian has managed business development, often working directly with utility executives and customers to make sure NuVision clearly understands our customers’ needs and expectations and delivers to their requirements. He also has extensive international experience managing and pursuing growth business in new markets, including Europe and the Far East.

Brian earned his MBA from Duquesne University. Prior to joining NuVision, he worked as Director at Marconi Communications and Executive and Senior Business Unit Director at Westinghouse Electric Company. He also holds a 2008 patent for the application of MSIP® for Pressurized Water Reactor Units.

Martin C Williams
COO, Senior Vice President

Martin Williams leads the engineering and operations teams for NuVision Engineering. He is responsible for safe project delivery to meet customer expectations and supporting the company President in implementation of corporate policies, procedures, and strategies. Martin joined NuVision in 1998 after a 10 year career in nuclear facility engineering and project management with AEA Technology in the UK, engaged in projects and business development initiatives across the UK nuclear estate and for customers in the USA, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Far East. Martin is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Project Manager with over 30 years’ experience in the nuclear industry, including technology development, design, construction and operation of nuclear plant facilities and infrastructure, nuclear decommissioning, and waste management operations.

Lisa Donovan
Corporate Controller, Secretary and Treasurer of the Corporation

Lisa Donovan serves as a Director on both the NuVision Engineering, Inc. Board of Directors and the Carr’s Engineering, US, Inc. Board of Directors. She first joined the Company in 1987. She leads the finance group of NuVision Engineering and interfaces with the corporate parent, Carr’s Group plc, on all financial matters. Her role includes the oversight of all accounting, treasury management, project accounting, human resource, and payroll functions. She has managed several ERP conversions throughout her tenure that have resulted in project accounting improvements that ensure accurate project reporting and government contracting compliance. She maintains the business relationships with financial institutions, insurance brokers, auditing and tax firms, IT partners, and government contracting agencies.

Dr. Manu Badlani
Vice President, Chief Engineer

Dr. Badlani joined the Company in 1979 and has more than 35 years of experience in engineering, design, analysis, and management. He holds the patent for MSIP® (Mechanical Stress Improvement Process), one of the most effective techniques for preventing stress corrosion cracking in nuclear power plant piping weldments, which he has engineered and implemented in BWR and PWR plants worldwide. Dr. Badlani has a BME from MS University (India) and MSME, PhD (Mechanical Engineering), and MBA from the University of Minnesota. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Dr. Badlani has over 50 publications and jointly holds five patents.

Robert Mullens
Vice President, Quality and Safety Executive, Decon and Field Operations

Robert Mullens joined the NuVision team in 1994. Robert is responsible for the implementation of the Decontamination Services and MSIP® businesses at commercial nuclear plant sites in the U.S. and abroad. During his tenure, the Decontamination Services team has completed over $30 million dollars of work on domestic and international projects. As Corporate Quality and Safety Executive he also oversees implementation of the Corporate Quality Program and Safety Program. Robert holds a BS Degree in Environmental Science from State University of New York College and an Associate of Science Degree in Chemistry from Nassau Community College.

Michael Torcaso
Vice President, DNC and Engineering

As Vice President of NuVision’s Dynamic Natural Convection (DNC) and Engineering group, Mike Torcaso is responsible for the nuclear plant engineering services and the development of DNC technology for the company. He joined NuVision in 1995 and has over 35 years of experience in the Nuclear Industry. Prior to NuVision he worked at ANSYS and was responsible for providing technical support for the distributor network and partnership development within the FEA and CAD community. Prior to that Mike worked at Westinghouse Electric Company where he was responsible for the design and analysis of major equipment, piping and support systems, and licensing activities. Mike earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Robert Morris University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University.
